Skills and a little Background
2010 - present
2010 - present

Several years working with horses including Pony Club, Riding Schools, Racehorses, Polo and Station work.  Also training and rehabilitating neglected and abused horses and dogs.

Sixteen years working in various shearing sheds.

Volunteer contributor of articles for local newspapers.

Mother of daughter and son - need I say more? ;)

Art - since I was able to pick up a pencil I have been drawing and painting but being so horse mad, that is what I normally drew or painted - to the extent that some of my school reports had in comments that I should apply myself to more school work and less time on drawing horses!

Having spent years watching horses then over three decades working with them, they are my forte.

I have no formal education apart from two years at High school, my talent is largely from practice and genetics being a straight descendent of Sir Edward Poynter who was knighted for his portraiture work.

Photography - I only have a simple camera at the moment but I can still capture great photos to use for future artwork and have experience with the more expensive and top range SLRs (won prizes for photography back in the day of the old film...) and one day hope to get a good camera.

Proofreading and Editing - I have always been an avid reader and writer and used to pick up mistakes on published works which lead to completing and graduating with Distinction and High Distinction in Professional Proofreading and Editing.  This is due to both my parents encouraging me from an early age and also a little to genetics as writer and author Rudyard Kipling (the Jungle Book etc.) and I are also related in the maternal line due to his mother being the sister of Agnes, the wife of Sir Edward.

I think it is more than time enough for me to use the amazing talents that have been passed down generations from my talented ancestors.
